Joey Scouts is an activity based programme, run on a weekly basis during term time for girls and boys aged 6 to 8.

Joey scouts are the youngest branch of the world wide movement and we fit into the scout tree.

Scout leaders have titles so you know which ones are Joey Scout leaders, which ones are Cub scout leaders, which ones are group leasers or District Commissioners and which ones might be involved in training. They all have abbreviations.

The Youth movement is based on differing ages. All the different sections wear different colours to distinguish themselves.

• Rovers  are ages 18 – 26

• Venturers  are ages 14 – 18

• Scouts are ages 11 – 14

• Cubs are ages 8 – 11

• Joeys are ages 6 – 8

Joey scouts are asked to obey some simple laws which are designed to complement the weekly programme.
